Job Description:
Position Summary: The Tax Analyst on the tax policy team is an
integral member of the Fleet Services/ Operating Tax Organization.
This dynamic position will be responsible for providing analysis
and recommendations on various tax issues in the sales, use, and
property tax disciplines. Additionally, this position will assist
with research and tax planning. Qualified candidates for this
position will have at least 2 years of specific experience with
sales and use tax. Major Responsibilities: -Respond to customer
service-related tax issues -Approve exemption certificates and
update related systems -Assist in the administration of Penske's
tax policies and procedures -Design, develop, implement, and
maintain databases to meet process requirements and efficiencies
-Query and analyze data using various tools and systems -Utilize
advanced analytical skills to draw clear concise conclusions and
identify improvement opportunities -Other projects and tasks as
assigned by management Qualifications: -2 years of tax experience
preferred -A Bachelor's degree is required, CPA or Masters in
Taxation is preferred -Ability to understand sales, use and
property tax -Strong communication skills required -Proficient in
the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint
-Experience with AS400 and/or Savvion preferred -Regular,
predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule,
work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment
application, submit to a background investigation (to include past
employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are
