Job Description:
GENERAL FUNCTION: Oversees and insures
adherence to the BankÆs policies and procedures for a number of
Commercial Mid Corporate Relationship Managers. Monitors loan
structuring recommendations of and risk assessment by team members.
Ensures coordination of due diligences and workflow of team members
to ensure compliance with appropriate standards, and completion in
a timely manner. Actively builds relationships with other lines of
business to present all 5/3 banking products and services to
customers within their teamsÆ portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and maintain important client
relationships.
* Produces and maintains profitable commercial loan
volume.
* Identify and facilitate to businesses that do not maintain their
primary banking relationship with 5/3, all the bankÆs services with
the ultimate goal of moving the primary banking relationship to
5/3.
* Insure that relationships are managed to the highest profit
potential for the Bank, develop profitable new business, cross-sell
all applicable 5/3 products and services an existing portfolio, and
manage the sales process in a specific geographic area for
commercial loans.
* Manage the development of Commercial Mid Corporate Relationship
Managers on team.
* Develop intimate knowledge of all customers and
businesses.
* Work with the Credit team to underwrite credit requests and gain
loan approval within established lending limits or make
recommendations on loans that require higher approval
authority:
o Monitor, on an ongoing basis, information concerning customer
performance, abilities, and industry to determine that loan is an
acceptable risk.
o Ensure proper reporting, documentation, and review to determine
that a loan is an acceptable risk.
o Identifies acceptable credit opportunities that have the
potential of leading to significant non-credit
sales.
* Keep abreast of trends, developments and current regulations in
the industry and in local markets.
* Responsible for the delivery of value-added financial solutions
(ranging from traditional to customized products) to existing and
prospective clients that will help them to enhance their
business.
* Coordinate all client-facing activities related to their clients,
including credit support and other product area (e.g., Treasury
Management) partners.
* Attend community and/or industry-specific forums, conferences
and/or meetings in order to broaden relationship network and
continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices, products and
competitors.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing employees
timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing
employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging
opportunities that enhance employee career growth, developing the
appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and
succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for
accomplishments.
